Kaleidoscope Theatre in the Spring of 83 competed in the ZONE ADULT DRAMA FESTIVAL. Kaleidoscope Theatre's play under the direction of Kay Bigelow and starring Barb Van De Ryse and Mark Bevan won the festival and went on to represent our zone at the provincial festival in Medicine Hat. That same fall audience members got a special treat when they attended MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON'S and watched the scaffolding fall down, by mistake, during the hanging of Maureen Gough. This led to the actors breaking into smiles. The only disappointed audience members were the ones who came to the performance the next night expecting the same thing to happen. This is one of those special moments that makes live theatre distinctive.
